It raised $100M+ from Sequoia, Greylock, and Icon, targeting low-latency vector and full-text search for production apps. OpenAI announced the acquisition in June 2024 to power retrieval inside its products. Rockset wound down customer service on September 30, 2024 and migrated technology and team into OpenAI's infrastructure org.
