Report a Dead AI Tool

The AI Tool Graveyard tracks AI products that have shut down, been acquired, or quietly disappeared. Community reports keep our records accurate — if you've spotted a tool that's gone dark, let us know below, or browse the leaderboard to see what's already tracked.

What counts as a dead AI tool?

  • Shut down: the company has officially announced the product is closing or has already pulled it offline. See recent shutdowns.
  • Acquired: the tool was bought by another company and folded into a different product, deprecated, or sunset.
  • Abandoned: no updates, no team activity, and no support for an extended period — the lights are on but nobody's home.
  • Broken or inaccessible: the website is down, the domain expired, or core features no longer work.

What happens after you report?

  1. Review — a moderator reads every submission, usually within 48 hours.
  2. Verify — we check the website, official channels, social media, and domain records to confirm the status.
  3. Publish — the tool's status is updated on the site, and notable shutdowns get a full obituary on the blog.

Already know which tool? If the tool is already in our database and you just want to flag a status change, the Suggest an Update form is faster.

Frequently asked questions

How do you verify reports?

Every submission is reviewed by our team. We cross-check the website status, official announcements, social media activity, and domain records before changing a tool's status on the site.

Do I need an account to submit a report?

No account is required. Submitting your email is optional and only used if we need to follow up on details of your report.

Will I be credited for the report?

Reports are aggregated and not individually credited on tool pages. If you'd like attribution for a major scoop, mention it in the details field and we'll consider crediting you on the relevant blog post.

How long until my report appears on the site?

Most reports are reviewed within 48 hours. Once verified, status changes appear on the tool page immediately and are reflected in the leaderboard within a day.
